Dining Out Healthy

Hey guys! This post isn't breaking down exact calories and listing all the restaurant chains in America either. Today I am writing on something simple but rather important which is eating out. We eat out almost every day and sometimes we don't consider the long term damage it does to our body. Not only does it take away from our natural glow but it also unbalances our digestive system. I have compiled a few simple choices from major fast food chains that more than likely can be found in every area of the world. Now these choices may not fill you up especially if you have a hearty appetite like me but these ideas should sustain you until you get home and fix a nutritious meal or are able to reach a destination that allows you more control of what you eat.
  • McDonalds...here you can order apple dippers, fruit and yogurt parfait, fruit and walnut salad, grilled chicken without the bun, Strawberry-Banana or Wild Berry smoothie, Minute Maid Apple Juice Box, white or chocolate milk, orange juice, or lastly Dasani Water
  • Wendy's....chili with beans for fiber, baked potato(sour cream and chives is best preferred), mandarin oranges, fresh fruit cup with apples, grapes, and pineapples, or an array of new salads. You can also just opt for the side salad. After I include the dressing, croutons, and cheese on the side salad I am full which now that I think about it probably defeats the point.oops!
  • Sonic now has fresh fruit which includes apples and bananas. You can order chocolate milk, water, tea, a grilled chicken wrap or chicken salad.
  • Burger King offers side garden salad, apple juice, milk, apple fries(similar to apple dippers), or a veggie burger. Yes they still make them!
  • Taco Bell offers fresco tacos and burritos which are topped off with their signature fiesta salsa. I posted the ingredients to Taco Bell's Fiesta Salsa because it actually is all natural aside from  a few preservatives to keep it fresh.

  • Fiesta Salsa

Tomatoes, White Or Yellow Onions, Cilantro. Fiesta Salsa Dressing: Diced Green Chili (Green Chilies, Citric Acid), Vinegar, Water, Diced Jalapeño Chili, Partially Hydrogenated Corn Oil, Salt, Garlic Powder, Xanthan Gum, and Less Than 0.1% Sodium Benzoate Added As A Preservative.
